Nick Perry's drama is set in the world of top-flight English football.
Geoff is a football referee at the top of his profession. But after a controversial game, he's heavily criticised and dropped from the upcoming cup final. Geoff's frustration builds and his scruples are soon tested.
Referee is a human drama about a man who does something stupid and is then sucked into a nightmare he cannot escape.
The cast stars Mark Addy as Geoff, Ralph Ineson as Don, Andrew Scott as Koch, Sean Baker as Pritchard, Denise Gough as Lisa, Sally Orrock as Karen, Rielly Newbold as Jamie, Brian Bowles as Manager and Stuart McLoughlin and Daniel Rabin as the Players.
